A Team of Two (Prinz and Diadem)  - oil on canvas, 20x30in

Exhibiting: Equis Art Gallery, NY

$2900 framed

This painting is a twofold tribute, both to the men and women of the US Army, and the animals that have helped us over the past 250+ years.

Mules have been essential to the US Army's ability to fight and defend our country for most of its history. While not as "pretty" as horses, mules tend to be more reliable, sure-footed, and resolute. They have hauled people, artillery, and wounded service members through some of the most horrendous battles in recent history.

While no longer employed in the current army's active cavalry units, mules are an important part of the army's presence as mascots at athletic events, parades, re-enactments, and historical tributes.

The title of this painting was inspired by the US Army's marching song.

Proceeds will benefit The Wounded Warrior Project, or another military-related non-profit of the purchaser's choice.
