Thank you to the purchasers of this piece who added it to their home in Arizona.

 

The Heilan Coo, or Highland Cow, is a breed developed in Scotland many centuries ago. Short in stature, they are covered with a double-layer coat that protects them from the cold, damp conditions of the British Isles. These cattle have become an unofficial symbol of the Highlands, and for me, a nod to my own Fraser and MacBean ancestors.
