About this oil:
This is a burro I saw many years ago in an old mining town out here in the western USA. She and her band wandered around the town, giving photo opportunities to any tourist in sight. This particular female burro was pregnant and close to delivery...in fact, she had a bit of a tough time walking with any sense of grace. 
 
After waddling around the town for an hour or so, she found a rock alongside the road and leaned against it for a quick nap. That's when I took out my camera and captured the moment for a later painting.
