My daughter and I were hiking among the huge trees of the Olympic Peninsula in Washington, when we heard a loud "Quork Quork" echoing through the forest. We then heard a distant answer...a quieter reply far off in the forest behind us. We kept walking as the avian conversation continued. Just around a bend in the trail, perched on an old sign, was a gorgeous raven, calling out to its companion behind us. Maybe they were talking about my daughter and me...?
 
My favorite bird, the Raven of mythology is said to be the intermediary or messenger between our world and the realm of Spirit.
